NEW MUNICIPAL CENTRE PROJECT

Divided into two main buildings, the project addresses the relationship with the place in a new concept of landscape, through reduced volumes above ground and with the morphological simplicity of the front sides and roofs: the volumes open to the central space of the square, creating a visual telescope towards the Dolomites, establishing an important visual relationship between the two historical hubs of Velturno, the Church of San Lorenzo and Maria Himmelfahrt Kirche.
The orientation of the two buildings in the area and the internal distribution of the various functions determine the best solar exposure of the square and the individual buildings, thus optimizing the bioclimatic benefits.
